Tension builds fast around the table in Agent Trouble (FR): everyone knows the secret location for the round, except one person. A lunar base, a submarine, a Shaolin temple, a traveling circus: the locations keep changing, but the core idea stays the same every round. Players take turns asking each other questions to confirm that everyone really knows the place, all while being careful not to hand the spy too many clues, since the spy is listening closely to guess where they are. It is a ruthless bluffing game, where every answer, every hesitation and every glance can give someone away, and where one word too many can flip the whole round.

Rounds are short, around 15 minutes each, so it is easy to fit several into one evening. At any point, a player can accuse someone else of being the spy; if everyone agrees, the round ends and the accused has to reveal their role. The spy, meanwhile, can also end the round by announcing they have figured out the location: if they are right, they score the points alone. This compact game of social deduction needs no board and barely any space: it fits in a bag and works anywhere, from a dinner with friends to an afternoon at the cottage.

Agent Trouble (FR) is for you if you like reading people, picking up on small details, and bluffing with confidence. Groups who love party games full of laughs and red herrings will especially enjoy it, as will anyone looking for a game that can be explained in a few sentences before the first round even starts. Its simple concept, with no complicated text to remember, made it an international hit: it has been reprinted by more than twenty publishers worldwide, under different titles depending on the country, proof that the hidden-spy idea travels well.

The game was designed by Alexandr Ushan, with illustrations by Uildrim and Sergey Dulin. In Quebec, this French-language edition called Agent Trouble is distributed by Gigamic.
